we loved our stay at the old forge hotel! it was in a great location, quiet but so close to the town and all the cool places to eat. the garden is super chill, perfect to relax after being out all day. julia was amazing, super helpful and friendly, making us feel right at home. the shower was really nice and our room was comfy and clean.
only bummer was the security light that shined into our room all night, which made it hard to sleep. also, wished breakfast could go a bit later.

I enjoyed my stay at The Old Forge. The gardens were a highlight. they offered a beautiful and peaceful retreat right outside my room. The room was clean, light, and comfortable, perfect for unwinding after a long day. Breakfast was delightful with a wide selection and lovingly prepared dishes. Julie, the owner, was incredibly welcoming, making sure everything I needed was accessible. the walls were a bit thin, and I could hear noise from neighboring rooms at times. The mattress could also use an upgrade for better sleep. Breakfast hours felt early, especially on lazy mornings. the location was great, just a short walk from the town. A little late breakfast option would have made it even better.

missingWrote a review on Aug 20charming gardenconvenient locationcompact room
The garden provides a stunning oasis, inviting you to unwind with its charming decor and peaceful atmosphere. Plus, the close proximity to the town makes exploring convenient without straying too far from comfort.
Room costs feel steep for the size, especially the compact nature of some rooms offering minimal furniture like a lone chair. Limited window ventilation can leave the place feeling too warm, particularly during hot weather, and breakfast hours are on the tight side which may not fit everyone's schedule.
